i honestly don’t think i can study any longer. i am so exhausted, mentally and physically. i need sleep and food so much right now. i feel completely prepared for my roman archaeology final tomorrow even though i know i don’t know nearly enough information. oh yikes, everyone out there who cares (or doesn’t care, at this point, even i don’t care), please cross your fingers for me and wish my lots of luck as i’m really probably going to need it. hopefully tomorrow goes as well as i need it to.

"In the beginning, there was a boy and a girl. And the boy had some problems, and the girl had some problems, too. And one day, early on in the beginning, the boy held up his hand to the girl, spreading his fingers, hoping she would place her hand against his. But due to the fact that the girl had problems of her own, she just couldn’t bring herself, couldn’t allow herself to raise her hand to his, poor girl. The second time he raised his hand, again the girl nodded no, pained by her own inability. The third time, fourth time, tenth time, until one day, they lost count, lost all track of time, too, because, really, who is to say how many second chances there are in any given beginning, right? And then, one day, much later in the beginning, the boy held up his hand again, and he smiled, and he spread his fingers as if it was the first time, and his eyes said what would have scared her away, had he spoken: Not today, his eyes said. No, you will not fall today. Now give me your hand."
